• Promoting a positive safety culture where safety is integral to every decision, fostering a just culture that encourages open and proactive reporting of hazards, errors, occurrences, and fatigue by all personnel without fear of reprisal for honest mistakes, including unintentional errors or incidents reported in good faith where disciplinary action will not apply, while maintaining accountability for reckless or intentional violations, including substance abuse, with clear disciplinary procedures to distinguish between human error, at-risk behaviour, and violations, and ensuring reports are handled fairly to support learning and improvement.
• Complying fully with all applicable GCAA and ICAO requirements, including proactive management of fatigue as a hazard in maintenance and operations.
• Providing necessary resources, training (including human factors and SMS-specific training), and tools to ensure competency and safe operations in flight, ground handling, continuing airworthiness, and maintenance, and managing resources effectively by anticipating and addressing any shortfalls.
